JAMAICAN CHARGED FOR DRUG OFFENCES

Members of the Drug Squad arrested and charged Jamaican national Ainsley Washington Chung, 46 years of Irwin District, St. James, Jamaica, for the following offences:

  1. Possession of Canabis,
  2. Trafficking of Canabis,
  3. Possession with intent to supply and
  4. Importation.

Chung arrived in Barbados at the Grantley Adams International Airport on the 4th July 2010, on a flight from Jamaica and was detained. Whilst at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, he passed 31 packages containing cannabis weighing 230 grammes.

He is expected to appear at the District A Magistrate Court, Bridgetown on Saturday 10th July 2010.
