MAN ARRESTED FOR SEVEN YEAR OLD MURDER

Members of the Cold Case Squad have arrested and charged Roderick Ricardo WENT, 45 years, of #31 Golden Rock, Pinelands, St. Michael for murder, relating to the death of Carestine Floretta Highland 79, formerly of May Port Lane, Pinelands, St. Michael, sometime between the 3^rd and 7^th April 2003.

The body of Ms. Highland was discovered on the 7^th April 2003 at her residence after neighbours complained of a stench emitting from her residence. Police discovered the body with a wound to her throat.

On Thursday 29^th July 2010, Went appeared at the District A Magistrate Court before Magistrate Pamela Beckles and was remanded until the 25^th August 2010.
