CRIMINAL BREAKTHROUGH IN NORTH

Detectives attached to the Northern Division of the Force have made a significant breakthrough into a spate of burglaries which occurred in the Sandy Lane, St. James community during the month of August 2010.

Wayne Leroy Scott, 46 years, of No-fix-place-of-abode, was arrested and charged for the following offences:

  • Seven (7) counts of burglaries (Sandy Lane);
  • Possession of an Offensive weapon;
  • Going equipped, and
  • One (1) count of Possession of cocaine.

Also arrested and charged is Jason Dacosta Jones, 26 years, of 13 Clarkes Avenue, Bayville, St. Michael. He has received the following charges:

  • Handling stolen property
  • Possession of cannabis
  • Possession with intent to supply and
  • Trafficking in cannabis.
Jones was held by the police with 15 grammes of cannabis.

Wayne Leroy Scott, 46 years, of No-fix-place-of-abode, who was arrested and charged for a number of criminal offences appeared before Magistrate Christopher Birch at the District A Traffic Court and was remanded until 25th August, to re-appear at the Holetown/District E Magistrate Court.

Also Jason Dacosta Jones, 26 years, of 13 Clarkes Avenue, Bayville, St. Michael, appeared before Magistrate Christopher Birch of the District A Traffic Court on Saturday 21st August 2010, and pleaded not guilty to his charges. He was granted bail in the sum of $2000.00 with one surety, to re-appear at the District A Magistrate Court on 28th October 2010.
